Fitch Ratings: CA wildfires to result in estimated <$250mn principal loss to cat bonds

While the ongoing Los Angeles wildfires will lead to “minimal” partial principal losses on certain cat bonds, aggregate losses will not impede cat bond issuance that reached a record $17.5bn last year, according to Fitch Ratings.
