AM Best: Reinsurance capital at all-time high at 1.1 but UW discipline remains

Traditional reinsurance capital is estimated to have reached a new high-water mark of $500bn at the end of 2024, up 6.8 percent year-over-year, but despite strong supply impacting cat pricing, reinsurers are expected to maintain discipline and hold firm on attachment points and terms and conditions, according to AM Best.
