UAE floods to “test” local insurers with weaker capitalisation: S&P

The capital and liquidity buffers of local insurers in the UAE with weaker capitalisation will be tested by the recent flash flooding caused by heavy rainfall, according to S&P Global Ratings, although it is too early to assess the full financial impact on the local insurance sector.
