Texas Farm Bureau’s FSR cut to B++ by AM Best after severe weather erodes surplus

The Texas Farm Bureau Insurance Group has had its financial strength rating (FSR) downgraded to B++ from A- by AM Best after its policyholder surplus fell by 21.5 percent through the first half of 2024 on the back of severe weather-related underwriting losses.
