Porch’s insurance carrier Homeowners of America (HOA) has been placed under temporary supervision by the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI), a development that follows Porch taking a $48.2mn charge in the second quarter in relation to a reinsurance contract arranged via Vesttoo.
