NYC comptroller and pension funds call for US insurers to abandon coal
New York City comptroller Scott Stringer has called on AIG, Berkshire Hathaway and Liberty Mutual to immediately stop underwriting coal projects and withdraw investments in companies that extract or distribute thermal coal, on behalf of a number of the city’s pension funds.
