James River committed to reinsurance but will cut book by $100mn in 2022
James River expects to reduce premiums in its casualty reinsurance segment by around $100mn in 2022 but believes the book can be profitable despite a $115mn reserve charge that sent the Bermudian to a widening operating loss in the fourth quarter.
