Insurers fight back at ExCeL owner’s £16mn Covid-19 closure suit

Six insurers – Allianz, Aviva, Chubb, CNA, RSA and Zurich – have fought back against a legal claim brought by the operator of London’s ExCeL convention centre, arguing in defence submissions that they are not liable for losses incurred during the Covid-19 pandemic as the venue was not required to close under government rules.
