Hub acquires Utah-based surety agency Dale Barton

Hub International has acquired Dale Barton Agency, a commercial insurance and surety bond brokerage based in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Dale Barton's focus on construction, transportation and commercial insurance will support Hub’s specialty practices by complementing and strengthening its existing capabilities, the firm said.

The Dale Barton team will join the Hub southern California and Utah region.

“Their knowledge and expertise in managing diverse and complex needs, particularly in construction, will benefit our clients.”

Last week, Hub strengthened its California presence by acquiring the assets of Invensure Insurance Brokers, a privately held agency offering commercial and personal insurance, as well as employee benefits and HR consulting.
