HCI deal for UPC Northeast personal lines business to “jumpstart” TypTap expansion

HCI Group’s acquisition of all United Insurance Group’s (UPC) personal lines business in Connecticut, New Jersey, Massachusetts and Rhode Island “will provide a jumpstart” to its insurtech platform TypTap’s ambitions of expanding beyond its home state of Florida and across the US.
