Florida renewals largely on track amid early private deals and appetite for lower layers

Sky-high rates on line (RoLs) now available on Florida homeowners reinsurance layers below the cat fund and significant increases higher up towers have drawn interest from reinsurers such as Berkshire Hathaway, DE Shaw, Arch and Ariel Re to allay fears of a capacity crunch for many buyers at the 1 June renewal.
