FIO commends NAIC and state climate risks assessment efforts but urges further action

US Secretary of the Treasury Janet Yellen is “encouraged” by progress made by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) and state regulators to incorporate climate-related risk into their supervisory practices, but efforts should be “deepened and broadened” so it is fully integrated.
