FCA’s Rathi responds to sector criticism on approval backlog

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has hit back at criticism that its approvals process is too slow, arguing that it is now rejecting a greater number of applications from firms as it adopts a more “rigorous approach” following a series of scandals.
