DBRS estimates Canadian Q3 wildfire insured losses at C$700mn-C$1.5bn

Canadian wildfire-related insured losses in the third quarter of the year so far will be between C$700mn and C$1.5bn ($515mn and $1.1bn), DBRS Morningstar has estimated, with the ratings agency stating the losses constitute an earnings event for the country’s P&C carriers.
