CNA UW income slips 6% in Q4 to $134mn as cat losses jump to $76mn
Higher catastrophe losses drove CNA’s underwriting income 6 percent lower in the fourth quarter to $134mn, outweighing the benefits the Chicago-based firm gained from increased favourable development and modest core loss ratio improvement in the quarter.
