CEO Swigart: Pie’s fundraise gives enough runway to profitability

After workers’ comp-focused insurtech Pie announced a major $315mn fundraise earlier this week, the firm’s founder and CEO John Swigart told The Insurer that securing that level of investment is only feasible in the current economic environment if it provides sufficient runway to reach profitability.
