AM Best: Fast-growing US private flood market primed for further expansion

The US private flood insurance market continues to expand rapidly with direct premiums written (DPW) up 23 percent to $1.27bn in 2022, with AM Best suggesting the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP)’s recently implemented Risk Rating 2.0 methodology is pushing consumers to the sector.
