Allstate hit with higher-than-expected cat losses of $1.69bn in Q1

Allstate has estimated catastrophe losses for the month of March of $1.17bn before tax, with the bulk driven by three wind events, bringing its first quarter total to $1.69bn, up considerably from $462mn in Q1 2022.
