AFG reports strong Q4 earnings beat as P&C profits surge 77%

American Financial Group (AFG) reported fourth quarter operating profits that doubled to $351mn driven by strong P&C results as its specialty underwriting business delivered a combined ratio of just 80.7 percent (Q4 2020: 86.2 percent).
