Catalina undoubtedly sits at the top table of P&C run-off. Although relatively quiet of late – more on which below – over the past decade it has rivalled its Bermuda neighbour Enstar as the most active buyer of large legacy liabilities, fuelled by the support of Apollo Global’s vast balance sheet and capital-raising abilities.
