US (re)insurance stocks surge as Dow records biggest one-day gain since 1933
All of the main brokers and many US-listed insurers enjoyed double-digit share price increases as the Dow Jones Industrial Average recorded its biggest daily percentage rise since 1933 on hopes of a fiscal stimulus deal being reached in Congress.
