Suncorp’s $3.2bn bank sale approved by competition tribunal
The proposed A$4.9bn ($3.2bn) sale of Suncorp’s banking unit to rival ANZ Group has been cleared by the Australian Competition Tribunal, overcoming an important hurdle for a deal which will refocus the group’s operations on its core insurance units.
