S&P removes controversial bond rating input approach from proposed methodology

Following criticism, S&P Global Ratings has withdrawn its proposed approach under its new criteria for (re)insurers for determining the rating inputs of bonds and loans, reinsurance counterparties and deposits with credit institutions, with the rating agency stating it will now consider alternatives for the withdrawn elements.
