S&P: Global reinsurers won’t exceed 2022 cat budgets at a $40bn Ian loss
S&P Global Ratings expects Hurricane Ian will result in insured losses of $30bn to $40bn, with the rating agency believing that reinsurers’ catastrophe budgets for the year will not be exceeded even at the top end of that range.
