Russia-Ukraine one year on: Uncertainty remains for aviation insurers over ~$10bn claims

One year on from Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the London aviation market remains the biggest area of claims uncertainty and main source of likely exposure to the conflict, with insurers still grappling with the prospect of billions of dollars of claims stemming from leasing policies following the seizure of aircraft by the Russian state.
