Root’s Q1 GPW and PIF fall following “aggressive” repositioning and restructuring
Root’s “aggressive” actions to reposition and restructure its business in response to what the personal auto insurtech said was “one of the most difficult times we’ve seen as a young company” saw the company’s Q1 2022 gross premiums written (GPW) fall by 7.6 percent year on year while its policies in force (PIF) dipped by 6.9 percent.
