QBE Re names Canopius’ Brigstocke to lead A&H in London

QBE Re has bolstered its accident and health (A&H) team in London with the appointment of Henry Brigstocke as head of A&H.

Brigstocke joins QBE from Canopius, where he spent more than five years as an A&H underwriter. Prior to Canopius he held the same role at Tokio Marine Kiln (then Kiln).

He is accompanied in the move from Canopius by Mollie Sallery, who joins as an assistant underwriter.

QBE’s London A&H team will be further strengthened by the arrivals of senior underwriter Georgina Raeburn and underwriter Harriet Ayre in October, from Arch and Hiscox respectively.

In addition, Gallagher Re divisional director Jack Crotty will join the team in November as an underwriter.

Commenting on the appointments, Mark Jackaman, QBE Re general manager, London, said: “We are pleased to bring additional strength and depth to our A&H team under Henry’s leadership which further evidences our commitment to and growth ambitions for the product.

“The new team will use their wealth of experience and knowledge to develop our A&H portfolio and maintain the service excellence and technical expertise that is synonymous with QBE Re.”
