Patronis, Altmaier warn of “financial chaos” if Demotech moves ahead with downgrades
Florida state CFO Jimmy Patronis and insurance commissioner David Altmaier blasted a move by the ratings agency Demotech to potentially issue downgrades to 17 domestic carriers, saying such a step would “create financial chaos” in the state.
