Nationwide E&S hires QBE’s DiBattista in casualty leadership role
Nationwide has hired Jude DiBattista to lead its E&S brokerage wholesale primary and excess casualty unit.
DiBattista has three decades of industry experience, most recently as head of E&S property casualty at QBE North America, where he worked for four years.
He has also served as chief casualty officer at Aspen Insurance, as well holding roles at Allied World, Zurich and AIG.
New York-based DiBattista will report to Tom Jurgens, senior vice president, E&S/specialty brokerage underwriting.
In August Nationwide began a search for a new president of its E&S and specialty division after Tom Clark announced he will retire at the end of the year.
Clark has served as the leader of the E&S operation since 2015. It was rebranded to Nationwide E&S from Scottsdale Insurance Company in 2016.
