Munich Re’s Landaverde: 2020 loss development shows cyber market “remains volatile”

Speaking at an Advisen event, Munich Re’s Annamaria Landaverde has suggested reinsurers remain cautious about the volatility in the cyber market despite a recent drop-off in ransomware frequency, while Guy Carpenter’s Erica Davis described the cyber and ILS markets as “like two people who are attracted to each other but were never single at the same time”.
