Moody’s goes negative on Allstate, Mercury General, Horace Mann and USAA after auto losses
Weak underwriting results in personal auto have prompted Moody’s to place negative outlooks on the ratings of Allstate, Mercury General, Horace Mann and United Services Automobile Association (USAA), although the rating agency noted the carriers are raising rates and tightening underwriting standards.
