Intact posts Q4 earnings beat as UW income soars 45%

Intact Financial Corporation closed out 2021’s fourth quarter with a comfortable earnings beat and underwriting income that increased 45 percent year on year although the Toronto, Canada-based carrier’s combined ratio ticked up 2.2 points on the back of higher than expected catastrophe losses.
