Hurricane Lisa triggers MAR Insurance Programme’s first ever payout
The first ever payout by the Mesoamerican Reef Insurance Programme, launched in 2021, was triggered on 2 November when the Turneffe Atoll, off the coast of Belize, was hit by Hurricane Lisa.
