Marzec has been tasked with building out Hamilton’s US-based book of management liability insurance business through its E&S focused Hamilton Insurance DAC platform.

At Hamilton, Marzec oversees a book of primary and excess private company and not-for-profit directors and officers (D&O) liability, employment practices liability and fiduciary liability for hard to place accounts.

Marzec has joined Hamilton after 12 years at Ironshore, most recently as assistant vice president, US wholesale D&O where he developed a strategy for tough to place business.

Prior to Ironshore, Marzec spent four years at Beazley, while his career also includes time at Chubb’s E&S platform Westchester, as well as AIG.

At Hamilton, Marzec reports into Clay Rhoades, president of US E&S.

Rhoades himself joined Hamilton at the start of the year as the company expands its US specialty business. He joined Hamilton from Kinsale Insurance where he had most recently served as senior vice president of commercial property and inland marine.

Since Rhoades joined Hamilton, the company has hired Jamie Secor, also from Kinsale, to head up professional liability, and Kevin Price from broker RCM&D to launch an E&S allied medical book.
