Greenlight Re falls to Russia-Ukraine driven $7.7mn underwriting loss in Q1
Greenlight Re fell to a $7.7mn underwriting deficit in Q1 2022 driven by $13.6mn of exposure to the Russia-Ukraine conflict, as well as Tennessee wildfire losses, while gross premiums written (GPW) fell 14.2 percent as the firm reduced or non-renewed its participation on certain motor and workers’ compensation contracts.
