Florida DFS secures budget to explore search for Demotech alternative
The Florida Department of Financial Services (DFS) has been approved a budget to explore alternative methods for the state’s carriers to acquire financial stability ratings besides Demotech, a move the rating agency’s president described as an “unnecessary response”.
