Demotech to assess Florida cat programmes amid surging reinsurance costs
Demotech could take ratings action on a Florida homeowners carrier if it determines the cost of placing an “acceptable” reinsurance programme in the hardening market is a stress to their balance sheet, income statement or cash flow statement, according to the agency’s president Joe Petrelli.
