Citizens seeks rate average rate increase of 13.5% for 2025
State-backed insurer Citizens has recommended to the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation (FLOIR) a proposed rate change of 13.5 percent on average across its product lines, well below the uncapped indication of 27.8 percent and the 96.8 percent increase it says it would need for HO-3 policies to be “non-competitive”.
