Citizens’ Gilway points to $40bn Hurricane Ian “best estimate” industry loss

Florida Citizens’ CEO Barry Gilway told analysts on an investor call hosted by Keefe, Bruyette & Woods (KBW) that he expects insured losses from Hurricane Ian will be at the lower end of cat modellers’ $31bn to $74bn range with his best estimate coming in at $40bn.
