Chubb promotes McLaughlin to lead Westchester’s casualty practice
Chubb’s wholesale excess and surplus insurance business Westchester has appointed Thomas McLaughlin as executive vice president of its casualty practice, succeeding the retiring Dean Andrighetto.
Boston-based McLaughlin will have oversight of product and business development, underwriting operations, and profit and loss performance. He will report to Scott Meyer, senior vice president at Chubb and division president of Westchester.
McLaughlin joined Westchester in June 2019 as senior vice president, chief operating officer, and Northeast regional manager for its casualty division. He has more than two decades of experience in the insurance industry, including 18 years at Lexington before joining Chubb.
Andrighetto announced his retirement as EVP of the casualty practice. In 2015 it was announced he would be the leader of Westchester’s casualty business at the close of Chubb’s acquisition of Ace. He was previously president of Ace Westchester casualty.
