Charman confirms Sompo International retirement date with Zurich’s Shea named successor

John Charman will retire from Sompo International Holdings at the end of his current contract in April 2022, with former Zurich executive James Shea selected to succeed him in his role of executive chairman of the Bermudian (re)insurer and CEO of overseas insurance and reinsurance business at Sompo Holdings as of September this year.
