California hit with first ever Tropical Storm Watch as Hilary nears
The first ever Tropical Storm Watch has been issued for California as Hurricane Hilary – currently a Category 4 storm – barrels toward the Baja California Peninsula and the Southwest US with concern growing about the potential for heavy rainfall and widespread flooding that could cause “rare and dangerous impacts”.
