Bank of England warns insurers to act on climate change or face 15% profit hit

UK insurers that fail to manage climate risks effectively could face a 10-15 percent hit to annual profits, the Bank of England (BoE)’s deputy governor Sam Woods warned on Tuesday, with a drag of up to 50 percent in a worst-case “no-action” scenario.
