AM Best: Smaller carriers to bear brunt of HI fire impact
The Hawaii wildfires are set to hit smaller and more concentrated carriers in the state hardest with their capital plans, reinsurance, and enterprise risk management programs set to be “severely impacted”, while “there may be subrogation opportunities for carriers” once investigations into the blazes’ origin are completed, AM Best has forecast.
