AM Best: Insurer layoffs caused by cyclical pressures not AI
The increase in layoffs in the US insurance industry is driven by cyclical factors as personal lines players react to profitability pressures, AM Best has commented, although the ratings agency has noted the longer term possibility for AI to increase productivity.
