AM Best: D&O faces “formidable challenges” despite best year since 2014

Last year was the best since 2014 for US D&O insurers’ premium, volume and direct profitability, AM Best has outlined in a new report, although it warned profit margins will be stressed by emerging risks such as social inflation, special purpose acquisition companies (SPACs), cyber-related disclosures, litigation funding and ESG.
