Greg Hoffnagle’s practice focuses on complex insurance and reinsurance disputes, as well as international commercial arbitration and litigation. In addition to his dispute work, Greg advises insureds, insurers, insurtech innovators, venture capital firms, reinsurers, retrocessionaires, brokers, TPA’s and MGA’s in compliance, regulatory and transactional matters.

A considerable part of this advisory work involves InsurTechs along with venture capital firms and insurance carriers in creating innovative products and bringing them to market quickly, from choosing an operating structure to licensing and regulatory issues. Prior to joining Cooley, Greg worked at the New York office of an AmLaw 100 global firm and in the New York office of a London-based global law firm, where his practice focused on complex international insurance, reinsurance and commercial disputes with a particular focus on Bermuda Form arbitrations.
