Cordelia Davis

Partner, EY Bermuda

Cordelia is an audit partner within EY’s Financial Services Assurance - Reinsurance Practice. She is also the leader of the EY BBC FAAS practice. She has over 15 years of audit experience serving a diverse client base of fortune 1,000 companies including SEC registrants and reinsurance companies. Cordelia worked at EY offices in Hamilton, Bermuda, New York, New York and Charlotte, North Carolina. During this time, she acquired extensive knowledge and experience in accounting for Reinsurance and SEC reporting matters including supporting her clients with accounting for loss portfolio transfers, adverse development covers, bond offerings, responding to SEC comment letters as well as various other SEC filings. Cordelia is proficient in various US GAAP and IFRS technical accounting matters including reinsurance risk-transfer, business combinations, goodwill, reportable segments, divestitures, restructuring, revenue recognition and stock-based compensation among other topics. She has in-depth experience on overall assurance matters including the overall execution of an audit of internal controls over financial reporting in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley. Cordelia also completed a one year rotation in our Assurance Quality group where she supported audit engagement teams across Bahamas, Bermuda and the Cayman Islands on various audit execution and methodology consultations. She holds an MBA from Columbia University, New York and is a New York licensed CPA.
