Generali launches takeover bid for rival Cattolica
Italy’s Generali has launched a €1.2bn ($1.4bn) bid to buy the shares it doesn’t already own in rival Societa Cattolica di Assicurazioni, as part of plans to consolidate its position in the Italian insurance market.
