Liberty Mutual Q4 operating income surges while CR improves to 99.2%

Liberty Mutual has reported a large increase in both operating and net income for the fourth quarter – with the results benefiting from strong returns from partnerships, LLC and other equity method investment income – while the insurer’s combined ratio improved 3.1 points to 99.2 percent.
